We are Savoring His beauty, Delighting in His love, Captivated by His Glory, Feasting on His Word, Hungering to exalt Him out of a deep love for Him.
We are experiencing Jesus Christ as our all-satisfying, all-glorious treasure, and we are passionately pursing Christ together. Nothing else compares to knowing Him.
We are recovering the passion of first century discipleship--a passion to be with the Rabbi so we can become like the Rabbi and do like the Rabbi. We are so thirsty for Christ that we "are covered in the dust of the Rabbi, thirstly drinking in His Words" (Staying so close to our Jesus that the dust stirred up from his feet covers us).
We are a God-thirsty, God-drenched, God-saturated, God-intoxicated community.SERVING PEOPLE: We dream of a church where...
Everyone takes up the "ministry of the towel" and serves each other with the love of Christ dwelling in our hearts.
We serve each other in His love by bearing one another's burden's (Gal. 6:2), encouraging each other (Hebrews 10:24), caring for each other (1 Cor. 12:25), and praying for each other (James 5:16). We become contagious to our community by our love.
We are a safe and healing haven that embraces each others brokenness. We struggle well with life together, and guide people to find wholeness and life in Christ.
"Servant leaders" are developed and equipped to be change agents for Christ in the church and in our community.
SHARING HOPE: We dream of a church where...
We drink deeply of the presence and love of Jesus, and invite others to drink and be satisfied in Him.
We point people outside faith in Christ to the hope and life that Jesus offers them--no matter what they have done or what they are going through.
We take seriously that we are the presence of Jesus Christ to our community around us; we are His hands, His feet, His voice... so we passionately pursue caring and serving those in Catawba County. We invest in people, loving the way Jesus loves.
We are a refuge for the wounded and broken, a place of renewal and restoration, a place of healing and hope-because of Jesus Christ.
We co-labor with God's global cause by supporting and raising up global ministers and missionaries, who expand God's kingdom to the ends of the earth.
Loving Well
Our relationship with each other is the criterion the world uses to judge whether our message is truthful-Christian community is the final apologetic.
